Nine hundred people have already signed up for 'Suck it up Buttercup' at Bago Vineyards on May 21.
It's a first for the Wauchope area, and race director Peter Manning from the Centaur team says the location is perfect.
"The Bago Vineyards property is mind blowing," he said.
"The rolling countryside and acres of vines is absolutely stunning, and vastly different to the Tamworth site, where we've held it before.
"My mind has been in overdrive for months, devising new, challenging and different assault obstacles - eight kilometres and 40 plus obstacles - this is going to be awesome.
"The response to Suck it up Buttercup and Mini Muddies, and our new venue, has been overwhelming.
The sign-up rate has been enormous - we filled all of our original morning waves and had to open up an additional wave."
Ian Adams from Bago Vineyards is looking forward to it immensely.
"It's very exciting. We're getting a lot of good feedback about it from people, and there's plenty of interest," Mr Adams said.
Chris Shaw, who's helping to build the obstacle course is going to give it a go for the third time.
"It's a must. It's tough, a real test of endurance. You have to run and then jump obstacles. I go to bootcamp and I run and do high intensity training, which helps."
The 2016 'Mini Muddies' and 'Suck it up Buttercup' Assault Obstacle events will be held at the Bago Vineyards on Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21.
There's a competitive Dirty Dollars wave with $1000 prize money up for grabs.
