Foodies Chris and Leasa Harris will operate the new kiosk as part of the upgraded Marine Rescue building.
They aim to have the Salty Crew Kiosk open by mid-April after Port Macquarie-Hastings Council last week awarded the kiosk tender.
"We really want to bring the community back to that area, and with Marine Rescue being there as well, we want to work with them and support them, and make it back to the way it was years ago when it was a place to go," Mr Harris said.
Mr and Mrs Harris promise healthy food and gourmet options, while the kiosk will also sell beach essentials.
They will draw on their hospitality industry experience in Australia and overseas.
Mrs Harris said the kiosk would be a place for people to enjoy the beach and just hang out.
"We really want to be there and provide the service that the tourists and definitely the locals need at the beach," she said.
"Our priority is to be there and have that service for the community."
The couple hails from Port Macquarie.
They established Luxe cafe, which they had for almost eight years, before moving into the hotel industry. The couple has been working in hotels and retreats since 2009.
The arrival of their daughter Elle six months ago means the time is right to return to Port Macquarie.
Mrs Harris said they were looking forward to the new business venture, and support had flowed in from previous customers, colleagues, friends and family.
"We are really excited," she said.
Marine Rescue Port Macquarie unit commander Neil Yates wished Chris and Leasa Harris all the success in the world with the kiosk.
"I think it is extremely important for the town to have a viable kiosk on Town Beach," he said.
The building overhaul includes better facilities for Marine Rescue NSW Port Macquarie's radio base, renovated toilets, showers and storage for lifeguard equipment.
