Footage from the camera is now available as the bridge construction continues toward its end-of-year deadline.
The vision shows plenty of activity as temporary bridge goes up. From here, the new 190 metre span will be built.
The project totals $26 million.
Roads minister Duncan Gay joined Port Macquarie member Leslie Williams and Port Macquarie-Hastings major Peter Besseling at the site on Monday.
Council's director, Jeffery Sharp, was also at the site.
Mr Gay looked forward to a new bridge which will be used by more than 8000 vehicles every day.
"It will provide a bigger and safer bridge to allow us to into the future," he said.
Mrs Williams said the video would be useful for those looking for another perspective to see how the work was going.
She said the old structure was "well past its use by date".
"[It's] some 55 years old now," Mrs Williams said.
A wider pedestrian and cycle path will be part of the new bridge. The approaches will provide better visibility for drivers.
Work at the bridge began in September, with major construction starting in November.
