POLICE are investigating after one man was injured during a dispute at South Kempsey on Sunday.

About 4.30am Sunday, police were called to a home on Middleton Street, South Kempsey, following reports of a group of people arguing.
Police have been told a group of up to six people armed themselves with two lengths of wood and a blade.
During the altercation, a 32-year-old man sustained a cut to his head.
Officers from Mid North Coast Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.
On route to the incident, a police vehicle was damaged after an object was thrown through the windscreen at the intersection of West and Middleton Streets.
Police conducted a canvas of the area but no-one was located.
A short time later, just before 6am, police responded to Middleton Street, South Kempsey, following reports of gun shots in the area.
There was no report of property damage in the area.
Kempsey detectives are urging anyone with information about the incidents is urged to come forward.
