TAFE creates opportunities for people of all ages, embraces diversity and helps those who may not otherwise have doors open, a way of overcoming personal challenges.
There are real and tangible fears about the increased debt and course fees now and into the future for TAFE students and the long-term viability of the institution to deliver an alternative and affordable learning environment.
Any policy presented by any party must address these concerns as a priority.
Valuing education in this country must be a priority.
Any policy decision must be built on the basis of affordability, equity and accessibility.
