Cummins signed plenty of autographs down at Town Beach, took questions and had dinner with the Pirates at Finnians Irish Tavern afterwards.
The fans lined up to meet him. Cummins was scribbling on jerseys and copies of his book, Tales of the Honey Badger, for more than an hour before the Pirates began training.
The former Western Force player and Wallaby was born in Port Macquarie. His father Mark played for the Pirates.
Cummins was reminded of some of his father’s exploits during his time in Port.
“I’d say some of them have been greatly exaggerated over the years,” he said.
