Jenny Emerson and Justin Cordell went to Port Macquarie Base Hospital on Tuesday on a mission for their son Callum.
The couple started Callum's Pyjama Army earlier this month as a way to honour Callum's short life.
They have been collecting, through private purchases and donations, nightwear for children who have unexpectedly been taken to hospital.
The pyjama angels lit up the children's ward with the generous gifts.
Ms Emerson said it was "very bittersweet" to be back on the ward.
"It was funny because two of the boys we saw were the same age as Callum," she said.
"One of them hugged the pyjamas to his little chest. That got me because it was just gorgeous."
The family continue to be inundated with the community's support and, of course, pairs of pyjamas.
Callum's alma mater, Port Macquarie Public School, is holding Pyjama Day on Thursday.
Students are asked to wear their pyjamas and make a donation of a gold coin or new pair of pyjamas.
A few days later, Callum's family will travel to the Children's Hospital at Westmead where they will present a large bundle of pyjamas to sick kids in need.
Further details on donating can be found on the Angels for Callum Facebook page.
