The cyclists took off from Armidale in April and arrived at South West Rocks some 228 kilometres and three days later, raising thousands of dollars along the way.
Port Macquarie Peloton Princesses - Roz Anderson, Justeen Single, Julie McInnes, Dave Anderson, Eddy Godschalk and Michael Allsep - went along for the ride.
It was the fourth such expedition and will be on again in April next year.
By then, more than 1500 riders across 1000kms will have raised more than $1Million for cancer awareness, prevention and research.
This year $6000 was set aside for the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute (MNCCI), which was presented yesterday afternoon to oncology nursing unit manager Jenny Baroutis.
"Patients spend many hours receiving their chemotherapy treatment and a comfortable chair makes a big difference to their experience," Ms Baroutis said.
"Having a chair that is comfortable enables patients to be more relaxed, which is better for their wellbeing during treatment."
The Tour de Rocks funds cancer projects in the communities that support the ride, and Ms Anderson was keen to find a project in Port Macquarie. She became aware of the need for additional chemotherapy chairs at the institute and applied for the $5990 needed to be allocated from the pool of funds.
Next year's target is $250,000 to fund research projects, community infrastructure and assistance programs.
The Tour de Rocks runs an education program directed at primary school children spreading the - be healthy, be happy and be fit - message that revolves around a healthy conversation relating to cancer.
There is always room for more participants to join the tour.
The riders are well looked after by their support teams who travel ahead, set up camp and assist with the catering.
There is a job for everyone who wishes to lend a hand.
