Westport Men’s Bowling Club
Club triples are down to the semi-finals with Glen Hayes, Matt Kirkman, and skip Peter Stockham against Paul Budnick,Ron Coombs, Peter Howard in one game whilst Paul Schliebs, Michael Pearson, Kevin McGee (skip) are taking on John Hrabak, Ross Burton and Michael Burgess. More next week.
Social bowls are as normal this week. Friday and Tuesday has mufti triples, with Wednesday being pairs club togs or creams, and Saturday will be mufti optional three bowl pairs featuring two games of 13 ends, winners/losers format.
Bowlers are reminded that the dress rules have been reviewed.
Mufti means neat casual dress, shirt with a collar. All competitions require current Pennant uniform or creams with BA logo: all team members to be in the same gear.
Winners on Tuesday were D McPherson,J Lawson and K Waters. Runners-up were R Elford, S Marshall and R Dunston.
Lucky losers were R Donaldson, R Penney and M Donovan.
Wednesday winners were K Caddy and K Bramble followed by K Coulle and K Ainsley with consolation to JJ Smith and R Andrews.
R Howell, T Adams and J Castle were the lucky ones on Friday.
Next were D Fowler, R Dunston and J Peneder.
Consolation to J Hampstead, J Musgrove, and B Sharkey.
Saturday's optional three-bowl pairs was a good game with overall winners being M Holmes and M Parry with two wins, 26 margin, 17 ends followed by C and M Owen 2G,. 15M, 14E. Best of the one game winners were R and B Isaac 13M, 15E then B and A Owens 9M, 16E.
The Sunday lunchtime raffles at Westport are on again this week with meat trays, fruit and vegie vouchers plus seafood trays.

Saturday business ladies
Ten ladies enjoyed the beautiful conditions to play a stableford round, including Jackie Rider who was visiting from Bonnie Doon Club.
Margaret Sass played some very good long shots to win the day with 36 points.
Runner-up was Judy Crick with 35 points. NTP on the fifth hole, sponsored by Dales Variety Warehouse, was Wendy Oxley, and on the 16th sponsored by Resi Sales', Phil and Gay Dixon, was Corrina Munro.
