The build-up primarily occurs due to north-easterly winds.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council says these works are being undertaken as a proactive measure to reduce the amount of sand blowing over and building up on the grassed areas, pathways and also into the car park.
This work is scheduled to be completed this week.
