Real estate agent Hugh Bateman leaves Mudgee today on a Massey Ferguson tractor on a 2600 kilometre return journey in support of the McGrath Foundation breast care nurses.
And he is making a stop in Port Macquarie.
Mr Bateman said everyone knew somebody who had been affected by breast cancer.
The Pink Tractor Trek is a one-off.
The mammoth effort has been months in the planning.
"You can imagine driving a vehicle and doing 30km/h along highways, byways and in heavy traffic," Mr Bateman said.
"I'm getting out there and doing it, and I would really love for the beautiful people of Port Macquarie to get behind me."
Port Macquarie residents can support the cause with the Percival Property Sales & Property Management teams helping to raise funds.
A high tea on Thursday was complete with sweet and savoury treats and a Cafe Buzz barista on hand.
People will be able to meet Mr Bateman and check out his tractor during a breakfast/morning tea from 8am until 11.30am on October 26 at the sales office at 106 William Street.
A McGrath Foundation cap signed by Australian cricketer and foundation co-founder Glenn McGrath will be auctioned at 10.45am.
Mr Bateman has a $250,000 fundraising target in support of the McGrath Foundation breast care nurses. McGrath breast care nurses provide their support free of charge.
Some 105 McGrath breast care nurses have supported 36,000 families.
It costs $380,000 to fund a McGrath breast care nurse for three years.
