Players are invited to gather at Oxley Oval at 12pm in their whites to introduce the Arthur Hollis seat on the hill overlooking the picturesque ground.
The spot was a favourite of Hollis, who passed away last year, for many years after his retirement. He would sit there, passing on a wealth of knowledge to captains about changing the field to pick up a wicket.
Hollis would also offer advice to departing batsmen about a shot which, if they had played it, they would still be at the crease.
Hollis scored 32 centuries in his fantastic career, so his advice was well worth listening to.
He will always watch over cricket at the ground. Hollis' ashes were scattered in the place where the seat will be unveiled.
"It will be there to pay respect to a legend of local cricket," HRDCA president Shane Williams said.
"He loved watching the game and be involved in the game regularly."
Hollis' wife Peta will be on hand for the ceremony.
The seat has been funded by the Hastings and Port Macquarie junior cricket associations, along with the HRDCA and the Hollis family.
