WITH the mighty (maybe not) Canberra Raiders not featuring the National Rugby League finals again this season, I'm jumping on the North Queensland Cowboys bandwagon for the pointy end of 2015.

There are a couple of reasons. Firstly, I'm tired of seeing them get ripped off every year at finals time.
Who remembers the Cronulla try on the seventh tackle from a few years back? What about the Kieran Foran Hand of God?
I still argue that Johnathan Thurston's try last season should have stood.
I might be a bit biased though as I was going for them in 2014, too.
However, to say it's a Sydney conspiracy is a bit much, it's just a list of bumbling errors from officials.
The other reason I want them to win is for Thurston. He's the best player in the game, if you ask me, and he definitely deserves to win another grand final.
Hopefully, the team can get off to a great start against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night.
The atmosphere will be amazing up there in Brisbane. It just won't be the same on television, but it should be great, nonetheless.
A dream decider for me would be the Cowboys against the Sharkies. I don't think I could be that lucky, but a sports fan can think big.
The Roosters and the Broncos would have to be the favourites in my book. I think Thurston co are in with a real shot though.
I'm sick of the Storm being there. I don't really mind too much, just as long as the Melbourne team doesn't take the crown.
