SUPERINTENDENT Paul Fehon was on hand on Thursday to personally thank a group of retired police officers for their service in the force.

The event was held at the Port City Bowling Club in front of about 50 retired officers.
Supt Fehon awarded each member a pin.
He said it was important to acknowledge their service over the years.
"After so many distinguished years supporting the community its a small way to recognise the devotion and commitment that never leaves them," he said.
