Nick Larkin and Harry Conway were in town as part of the Cricket NSW Country Blitz.
They signed autographs at Amart Sport before heading to McDonald's at Settlement City to continue the fun.
Larkin has played plenty of cricket in Port Macquarie. He's from Taree.
He said, while Oxley Oval was a nice ground, he had more junior success at Tuffins Lane.
The opening batsman made his Sheffield Shield debut at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last November.
He made a brilliant century in his second match.
Larkin's has Irish blood, and represented the Emerald Isle on a couple of occasions against Sri Lanka A.
"Mum's dad was a Dublin man," he said.
"It's a fantastic place."
The Sydney University club cricketer looked forward to the return of Eddie Cowan to the Blues this season.
"He's a good guy," Larkin said of his uni teammate Cowan.
"I guess while I'm competing for the same spot as him, it's a good chance to learn."
Conway jumped at the chance to visit Port for the first time.
The promising fast bowler is entering his fourth year as a Blues rookie.
"So obviously it's a big year for me," Conway said.
He's learning from the likes of Geoff Lawson, Doug Bollinger and Trent Johnston.
Larkin and Conway were keen for youngsters to get involved in cricket this season. The first junior cricket registrations are on across the Hastings district tomorrow morning.

The HRDJCA will launch the T20 Blast Competition this season for under nines boys and under 11 girls. It's tipped to be popular.
