The match pits the undefeated competition leaders against the second-placed Snappers, who have won their last six straight.
Vikings coach Andrew Kable said while it had already been a successful 2015 the job was not done yet. "After coming this far you'd be silly to say no you're not trying to go through the whole season undefeated," he said.
"It doesn't happen often so for us to finish first and then hopefully win the grand final in our 20th year would be a great achievement for the club."
A successful day for the club in the other grades could see them steal the club championship from rivals Port Pirates who are 72 points ahead.
"It will be great for the club as a whole if we can claim the club championship," Kable said.
Chris Johnson and Ben Purcell will miss this weekend, but Kable was confident they would return for the major semi-final.
The winner of this weekend's clash will take a mental edge into next weekend's major semi-final when they face each other again, but Kable said he wouldn't rest players.
"I don't think so, we don't cuddle our players," he said.
"If you're playing for Vikings you give your all, no matter what, and it will be a good test for us this weekend because Coffs are a very physical side, with some very good footballers."
Kable believes the two sides could play each other three times in four weeks leading up to grand final day in a couple of weeks.
"I said to the Snappers coach a few weeks ago that I expected we would face each other in the grand final. They're a very good side."
Port Macquarie Pirates have the bye.
