It's second versus third at Lank Bain Complex, and the Breakers are confident as ever, but they won't have it all their own way in the big match.
The Blues are traditionally strong on their home turf, and with a vocal crowd on their side, it makes for a tough assignment for any visiting side.
Wauchope skipper Justin Laurie is a real threat for the Breakers, as are halves Aaron Ison and Nick McCabe.
Add hooker Dean Hurrell to that list and the Blues have a formidable core.
Breakers coach Ben Sprague had plenty of praise for Sunday's opposition after watching the Blues knock the Port Macquarie Sharks off last weekend.
He wasn't surprised the Blues won.
"I knew it was going to be tough and close," Sprague said.
"But it wasn't a shock to me."
He expects another close game come Sunday afternoon.
Making things even harder for the Breakers is Sprague sweating on the fitness of second rower Daniel Dumas. He's got a hamstring complaint.
Sprague will give Dumas until the last minute to prove he's up to the match.
It's lucky that the loser gets a second bite at the cherry, making a dream grand final between Sharks and Breakers a possibility.
"That would be sensational," Sprague said.
"It would be one of the biggest crowds they've ever had for a grand final."
The winner of this match will take on the Sharks for the first grand final spot.
