The theatres, equipped with the latest technology, bring greater capacity to care for patients.
Port Macquarie Private Hospital yesterday celebrated the official opening of the two new operating theatres and day of surgery admission centre.
The project represents a $6 million investment from Ramsay Health Care.
Port Macquarie Private Hospital chief executive officer Connie Porter said the project had benefits for patients and care givers.
She said the new theatres were more efficient, more ergonomic, more technologically advanced and provided a safer environment for care givers.
Ms Porter said yesterday's opening celebration was also an opportunity to thank everyone involved.
It follows the official opening in November of the private hospital's expanded rehabilitation unit.
"The hospital provides state of the art facilities for the whole patient journey," she said from the theatres through to the ward setting and rehabilitation.
"It means our community has access to a comprehensive private service right here in Port Macquarie."
Lyne MP Dr David Gillespie said the two new operating theatres and the day of surgery admission centre were great facilities for the whole community.
Ramsay Health Care managing director and chief executive officer Chris Rex said what had been created at Port Macquarie Private Hospital was absolutely fantastic and would serve the community excellently for many years to come.
The hospital's facilities include six operating theatres, renal unit, rehabilitation unit and high dependency unit along with ward accommodation for medical and surgical patients in a combination of private and shared rooms.
