DEFENDING Morgans' Seaside Classic champion Tim Hyland is in with a shot of another title as the event hits day two on Sunday.
The leaders teed off at 11am on Sunday for day two, and Hyland was well in the hunt.
He was tied for second, two shots behind Moore Park's Jack Poutney, who carded a one-under 70 on the first day.
Hyland's Bonville compatriot, Aden Louez, was also on 72.
Phil Pye, a local and classic winner in 1983 and 1988, was in fourth at the start of play, with 73.
Pye was tied with Killara's Mark Panopoulos and Wingham's Ben Marron.
There were a host of Port golfers on 74: Jackson Jubelin, Brian Davison, Stefan Walker and Wayne Stewart.
