Page has pole for the first race at Port Macquarie, which is the start of the last round of competition.
He trails Grant Trask by 100 points, but if Page beats Trask in all four races, he'll be champion for the second time in consecutive years.
Page was confident of success in a brief conversation with the Port News on Sunday morning before racing got underway.
He was happy with how his Cullens Carpet One craft was performing in the water.
"It's very quick," Page said.
It should be suited to the extended circuit which organisers have employed for this weekend.
The reverse grid for the next race will make it hard for Page though. If he wins the first race, he will start from the back for the second one.
"That mucks things up a bit," he said.
Racing will get underway from about 9.30am Sunday.
