Shelby and Leilani Grainger will take to the court for the Australian Indigenous Budgies at the Gold Coast Netball Carnival.
They will play against the Australian states as well as teams from England and Asia at the carnival, which starts tomorrow and runs until next Sunday.
Shelby will play centre for the 15s team and Leilani is wing attack or centre for the 13s.
The Graingers' achievement is all the more remarkable, considering netball is the sisters' second sport.
Their first love is basketball, but the Graingers have learnt plenty from netball.
They have also integrated some basketball skills onto the netball court.
Shelby said reading the plays came from basketball, while Leilani credited more accurate passing as a result of playing both sports.
Their father, former jockey Glenn Grainger, backed the duo's involvement in both sports.
"Some old school blokes say you can't play both, but I disagree," he said.
The duo had to pull out of Hastings Valley representative netball commitments because of a clash with basketball.
"It just couldn't work," Grainger said.
It's a shame both aren't playing in the same team on the Gold Coast. The sisters know each other's game inside out.
"We know how we play," Leilani said.
