The Brawlers took out Maitland's Roller Girls 215-105 at Wauchope, in a great display for the host team as the girls continue to gel.
It was a close affair, according to Port Macquarie Roller Derby League president Roxanne Mann.
"Roller derby can get quite a bit of score difference," she said.
"For us though, that was one of the best leads we've had in a game."
Mann said the league's team was improving with every bout it played, with teamwork high on the agenda.
"The more we play as a team, the more we're learning to play as a team," she said.
Numbers of bouters in town are improving constantly. The league has some big things planned for this year.
The next bout is between Port locals. It will be the Voodoo Vipers versus the Nightmares in June.
Mann said the idea was to keep the interest going for the skaters who aren't involved with the representative scene in the Brawlers team.
"We want to keep their drive high," she said.
