The Pies were far too strong for the new AFL North Coast opposition, after taking charge in the second quarter.
The Eagles had some Magpies playing for them. Luke Long played the whole game for the opposition, while Rod Sonogan and Kyle Lynch also had stints in Eagles jumpers.
The Magpies had kicking trouble early in the afternoon, but once that came good, they started to put the goals on.
"We didn't kick very well," Magpie Craig Carroll said.
"Our delivery was pretty poor."
It was a result the team expected, but the scoreline almost took a back seat on the day, according to Carroll.
"It was a good, fun day out and played in the right spirit," he said.
Carroll said it was important established clubs like the Magpies helped out teams like the Eagles.
"They're starting at the bottom, and we're trying to do everything we can to keep them going," he said.
