"Roundabouts are common in most communities and we use them everyday," Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's
“Despite this fact, many people are confused about what to do when driving through a roundabout,” Council’s Infrastructure and Asset Management Director Jeffery Sharp said.

The step-by-step guide is a handy resource, which provides information for cars, trucks, buses and bicycles, as well as rules for giving way, signalling and traffic signals.
Mr Sharp said the main aim of Road Safety Week was to promote discussion about road safety, for all road users, including pedestrians.
“We all need to share the road responsibly and make safety our top priority,” he said. “This includes protecting vulnerable road users, such as children, cyclists and those who work on roads.”
