Giants beat Pirates 8-1 while Macleay triumphed 7-1 over Spartans in the first round of action at Blackbutt Park, Wauchope.
There was a big scoring match in B grade, with Manning beating Wolfpack 15-14.
Pirates plundered Giants 9-7.
There are a couple of registration days coming up for juniors who want to put a glove on and hit the diamond.
Wauchope IGA is the location on Friday, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Then it moves to Settlement City from 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
The junior season starts on May 24.
