Starting at 10am, the Andrews Park game is part of Wauchope's Centenary of Rail celebrations, will see the Newcastle Lords Taverners take on their old foe, the Hastings Golden Oldies.
"The tribute match is in honour of the great Sir Donald Bradman's visits to Wauchope in 1928 and 1929 when he played with the Sydney-based Kippax XI," Cr Besseling explained.
"In those days, the teams played on coir matting at Bain Oval and the Sydney team was made up of state and Australian representative cricketers.
"One thing that hasn't changed is the fiercely competitive nature of our local team, so it would be great to see as many people as possible come along and cheer them on.
The Hastings Golden Oldies and Newcastle Lords Taverners last went head to head in 2013.
The Hastings line-up features numerous well-known sportsmen and includes 'Mr Cricket' Merv Bourke, who was recognised for his contribution to the sport at this year's Australia Day awards.
All members of the public are welcome to bring along a picnic and chair and enjoy the event.
