It was the ninth annual Mayor's Sporting Fund bowls day at Port City and conditions couldn't have been better.
It was beautifully warm with a hint of a breeze which wasn't enough to worry the bowlers.
More people dressed up than ever this year and sent a few shots down the green.
There were Easter bunnies and even a contingent who would have looked more at home during Oktoberfest in Germany.
Port City Bowling Club's bowls co-ordinator couldn't have been happier about the turnout, and the participants' generosity.
The "German" contingent was from the NSW Ambulance Service, and Buchanan said he would like to see more of our heroes at the day next year.
"We want to push forward next year and see more from the services, like the police and firies."
