Emma Healey grew up in London, studied bookbinding and art, and worked in libraries, bookshops, art galleries and universities before turning to writing. She lives in Norwich, where she did an MA in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. Her first novel, Elizabeth Is Missing (Penguin) is about a woman with Alzheimer's who sets out to solve a 70-year-old mystery.
