United will look to build on the back of some good results on the first day of the North Coast Challenge Cup at Nambucca on the previous weekend for the Kempsey match at Koala Street.
The Port side uses the Nambucca weekend as a bonding session, and it usually shows on the second day.
The Green Bloods went down to Pymble in the semi final. After leading 2-0 thanks to Matt Broderick goals, United lost 3-2.
Chris Walsh's men scored seven goals in four matches on Saturday. United had 2-0, 2-0, 0-0 and 3-0 wins.
"It was a great result," Walsh said.
"We don't go up there for silverware. We get whatever we can out of the Sunday.
The weekend allowed some younger players to settle into the United setup.
Players like Jack Pilgrim and Eli Wade were standouts.
Wade played reserves last season, but will push for a spot in the top grade in 2015.
Sam Taylor and Joe McKeon are "really coming along" in the midfield.
Andy Collins will take charge of first grade again, while Nathan Wade will captain reserves.
"We've got two fairly strong squads," Walsh said.
United have lured back an old face in Damien Cross for the encounter. He was going to retire this season, but will mentor the reserve grade side.
"He wants to step back a bit," Walsh said.
The Saints have a new coach and as such will probably play a different brand of football.
The Kempsey team snuck a win off United in the early stages of last season.
"We returned the favour by punishing them later in the season," Walsh said.
He expected a stronger side to hit the paddock this time around.
"I had a look at them at Nambucca, and they look like a pretty young side," Walsh said.
"They should get the benefits of last year."
Tomorrow's reserves match starts at 9.30am. First grade kicks of at 11am.
