Summers heads up a quality field who will tackle the 2015 pro-am on April 27-28.
The field includes past winner and Port Macquarie specialist Leigh McKechnie, who has placed in the top three in the event on various occasions.
"He always performs well at Port Macquarie," the club's publicity officer, Keith Heap, said of McKechnie.
"He loves the course."
Former Port local Aaron Glasson is another past winner who has entered this year, along with two-time PGA Trainee Championships winner Richard Gallichan.
"He's pretty good," Heap said of Gallichan.
Merewether Pro-Am 2013 champion John Onions has plenty of experience playing at Port Macquarie.
Onions played the Seaside Classic in Port during his amateur days.
Onions took out the Merewether Pro-Am in 2013.
Alex Edge is a top-three placegetter in the Classic.
"He has a beautiful golf swing," Heap said. Andrew Kirkman and Will Gunn represent the Port contingent in the professional field this year.
South West Rocks player Jamie Hook will also tee off.
Forty eight entrants have put their names down so far. The field will be restricted to about 90 to give plenty of Port club members the chance to hit the fairway alongside the professionals.
A sponsors day and professional exhibition gets the comp underway before a sportsman's dinner and the two-day event which is played in a fours format.
Two professionals will accompany two amateurs around the course.
"They're always good company," Heap said.
There will be a prize for the lowest-scoring amateur.
