A thousand dollar cheque is always handy, but we knew in our hearts that it was a bad idea to sell our electricity network.
Nothing has changed, except this time Leslie Williams and the National Party expect you and me and our children to pay the Chinese Government $100 billion, plus inflation over the next hundred years. We get $18 billion, the Chinese Government gets way over $100 billion.
This is third world economics. Real “Banana Republic” mentality. The whole idea stinks.
The numbers just don’t add up. Make no mistake, a vote for Leslie Williams and the National Party is a vote to sell your electricity.
A vote for Leslie Williams and the Nationals is a vote to pay the Chinese Government over $100 billion dollars for ‘our’ electricity.
Despite any assurances to the contrary, Leslie Williams and the Nationals cannot legislate for future parliaments, and just like the “49% sale of Telstra”, this is just the beginning.
Leslie Williams and the Nationals got the ball rolling, they initiated this sale process and anyone who believes Essential Energy will not be sold is dreaming.
The Chinese Government already own all the softwood plantations in South Australia, they own Glencorp, our biggest coal miner, and soon the jewel in the crown, NSW Electricity. Vote for a future not crippled by debt to the Chinese Government.
Vote for common sense. Vote “No Sale”.
