Except this ride is one with a difference.

On Thursday a group of more than 20 cyclists called in to Port Macquarie as they raised funds and awareness for organisation Fighting Chance with the 2015 Tour de Chance.

General manager Jordan O'Reilly said the main focus of the ride was to generate awareness about the organisation.

"Tour de Chance is a nine-day bike ride from Brisbane to Sydney on behalf of Fighting Chance which is a disability organisation based in Sydney," he said.

"It's about raising funds and awareness to support our growth and to get us out in the community to meet individuals and organisations to benefit from our work down the track."

Included in the group was a young Indian man who wanted to get involved through sponsor Deloitte.

Parashuram Chenji had never been overseas previously before he put his hand up to go on the ride after they required a representative.

He travelled from Hyderabad just for the ride.

"Coming from India I'm really surprised at how well the traffic flows in Australia," he said.

"It's a really good cause we're riding for and Australians are just so friendly."

He admitted to spending a bit more time taking in the sights of what we have become accustomed to seeing all the time.

"The best part about the ride so far is the beautiful coastline," he said.
