"There is a warm air mass lingering which will continue to do so, but it will be the last one for a while," she said. "These sorts of conditions in March are not overly unusual."
The forecast for Wednesday was looking promising for those who want to spend some additional time outside in the warm conditions with a top in the high 20s expected across the Hastings.
"Wednesday is looking mostly sunny and warm with a top of around 30 degrees, but it will be a bit warmer inland."
Ms Westcott said Thursday was looking similar with the chance of a shower.
"Thursday will also be around 30 degrees, but there could be a light shower which shouldn't bring any more than about a millimetre of rain," she said.
"There will be southerlies which will come through on Thursday afternoon which will drop the temperatures down a little bit."
High levels of humidity would remain, with overnight temperatures expected to range between 18 and 21 degrees.
Ms Westcott said normal March conditions saw average daytime temperatures of 26 degrees.
