On Tuesday evening the men and women played finals and it was Fernhill Tavern 3-2 over Everything Is Awesome in A grade, Wave Bowl 5-4 over Finnians Irish Tavern (in a drop off after being 4 all at full time) in B grade and King & Campbell 5-2 over Ian Brown Sand & Gravel in C grade who all advanced to the men's grand final.
They will meet Coast2Coast, Harvest Screen Print and Essential Energy respectively in the grand final tomorrow evening.
In the women's, O'Rourke's Surveyors defeated Port Orthodontics 4-2 in A grade, Watson's Caravans received a forfeit from Telstra Store Port Central (due to a heavy injury toll) in B grade, Hastings Physio were too good for Kempsey 6-2 in C Grade and GN Painting/El Paso also received a forfeit from Khodary's Pharmacy who were also short on numbers due to injury and sickness.
So the grand finals for the women are, Daycare On Lincoln v O'Rourkes in A grade, Laurieton Hotel v Watson's Caravans in B grade, Fishers Plumbing Supplies v Hastings Physio in C grade and ASN Port Macquarie v GN Painting/El Paso in D grade.
In the mixed division on Thursday, Coast2Coast beat a gallant Telstra Shop Port Central (who were down to two only girls through injury) 8-5 in A grade, Ray White Real Estate-Wayne Prince ended a great season by McGrath Estate Agents 3-1 in B grade, in a five team C grade, Nat's Team in the major semi beat ASN Port Macquarie 6-3 to advance to the grand final and Harvest Screen Print won the elimination semi on a forfeit from The Beach House.
ASN then had to turn around and play the final against Harvest Screen Print and understandably ran out of puff and went down 6-0. In D grade, Better Homes bounced back from their major semi final defeat and accounted for GN Painting/El Paso 7-2 to book a grand final berth. The grand finals this Thursday, will be CD Bathrooms, v Coast2Coast in A grade, Bell's Furniture One v Ray White Real Estate in B grade, Nat's Team v Harvest Screen Print in C grade and Blood, Sweat & Beers v Better Homes in D grade.
Presentations will follow the games on both days and snag sangas and drinks will be available.
Due the uncertainty of Tuffins Lane we are unable to give a definite location for the grand finals until inspections are carried out.
The decision will be placed on the Club web site www.portmacquarietouch.com and on face book by Monday evening.
For those teams who have not made it through please treat this as your invitation to attend the grand finals and enjoy some social activities.
Best of luck to all teams and remember to keep in touch.
