I recently covered 2,500 kms to the south west, Riverina and South Coast.

The highways and streets in the towns were well maintained. I really knew I was back in the Hastings area, when I drove onto the pothole filled roads, roughly patched and poorly cared for.

No doubt visitors here would notice the difference, towhat they are used to.

Allocation of funds to this problem would be better spent than trying to pretty up Horton Street.

Fix the roads first then do the makeovers.
