Flash flooding is likely in Port Macquarie over the next few days, emergency services have warned.
The NSW State Emergency Service's Kevin Sherwood said his personnel were on standby on Australia Day.
Weatherzone recorded 12 millimetres of rain in the two hours from 8am.
The meteorologists predicted showers to persist throughout the national day, with 30 mm expected by 5pm.
"You're even looking at up to 50mm on Tuesday," Weatherzone's Josh Fisher said.
Mr Sherwood said the SES isn't worried about flooding this week.
"(But) there could be a little bit of flash flooding," he said. "We're asking people to stay out of the water, and call us on 132 500 if they get in trouble."
The local crew were kept busy during Friday's storms with nine calls to repair roofs.
"We were out all day - it happened professively from 10am to 6pm," Mr Sherwood said. "Right now we're obviously on standby and waiting to see how the weather progresses."
Activities on the Town Green are due to go ahead as planned.
The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's placemakers team is set up and ready to go. A spokeswoman said they will wait for rain breaks to complete the morning activities.
A decision will be made at 2pm as to whether the official parade and ceremony takes place.
The fun at Wauchope Showground hasn't been affected by the weather, nor were the morning's activities at Laurieton.
