Haddin, who entered the match under pressure to produce runs with the bat, had a mixed day on Saturday. He struck a quick-fire 55 before grassing a relatively simple catch late in the day.
The aerobatic effort was Haddin's 250th test dismissal, moving him up to fourth on the list for Australian wicketkeepers.
Australia continue to dominate the match after stand-in captain Steve Smith posted his highest test score on day two.
