In fact, he was seen in conversation with tennis great, John McEnroe. Who said that school can't be fun?
Port Macquarie staff and students held an out of uniform day run by the students representative council to raise money for students travelling to Sydney.
The theme was back to the 80s. Most got into something colourful for the occasion.
Students were willing to make a gold coin donation at the school gate for the privilege of dressing up.
Some flashy costumes were on display but the highlight of the day was when Elvis met tennis star John McEnroe. The fact that Elvis was dead three years before the 1980's began didn't seem to bother teacher Mark O'Brien. He, and Stuart Jackson dressed as John McEnroe, thought they would give the students something to compete with.
Not to be outdone, Mr Rogers donned some make-up and went along as one of the stars from the rock group KISS.
The student representative council organised the event and the $500 raised helped offset expenses of the dancers who travelled to Sydney.
