Shane Williams from the Hastings River District Cricket Association said as many people as possible are being asked to attend Oxley Oval on Saturday at noon to make a massive 408, Hughes' test number.
"We thought it was an appropriate way to pay our respects and remember him," Williams said.
Williams has asked for people to bring a bat so it can be raised to the sky as a helicopter flies over and takes photos.
"We will have plenty of bats on hand for anyone that doesn't have one," he said.
And as a further tribute any games that are played in the Hastings on the weekend will have a minute's silence before the start of the match and players will wear black arm bands.
