She took out the Newcombe Medal for 2014.
The Kendall Tennis Club president has been a stalwart of the club for about 20 years holding every position on the board at some time.
But it's not the first major award Hudson has had come her way.
The club took out the Community Club of the Year award in 2010 thanks largely to Hudson's hard work and determination.
As usual, Hudson wouldn't take all the credit for the tremendous achievement.
"Even the volunteer award, it might seem to be an individual award but really with out the support from the community and members you can't win an award like that," she said.
"I am honoured though to receive the award.
"It's possibly the highest volunteer award within Australian tennis, so I am very appreciative."
Hudson said while humbled by the win she and the club wouldn't rest on their laurels and would continue to move forward.
"Our main aim for the next 12 to 18 months is to get these courts built," she said.
"That's our long term goal at the moment."
The club is also coming third in the ARBlitz initiative which aligned them with Rafael Nadal last year.
"We're in that again with a good chance to get a top 10 player," she said. "There's a bit of time to go but that's something else we're excited about."
