Morris made 74 not out as the Taverners beat Wauchope RSL Red by four wickets at Inmon Fields.
The Taverners required just 118 for victory but they made things hard for themselves. Had it not been for Morris's innings, it could have been dire.
Morris and Ethan Hendriks were the only two batsmen to make double figures.
Anthony Brown and Matt Guthrie snared three wickets each for RSL.
Earlier, RSL experienced many of the same batting woes as the Taverners, with good contributions few and far between.
Luke Boxhall propped up the innings with 41, Brown scored an unbeaten 24 and Luke Guthrie 15.
Scott Selway took three wickets, as did Morris. Alan Pretty snared two wickets near the end of the innings.
Port Panthers Pirates and Port City Leagues Magpies were the other winners on the day.
The Pirates knocked over Wauchope RSL Blue at Andrews Park while the Pies beat Macquarie Hotel at Wayne Richards Park.
