Clubs around the world will celebrate the milestone with various events, but in Port Macquarie a special celebration will be held from 7pm until 9pm next Wednesday at the Tenison Woods Centre, Lochinvar Place and all interested people are invited.
The club is split into two groups - an evening club which meets on the first, third and fifth Wednesday of the month, while the morning club meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month between 7am and 8.30am at the Town Green Inn.
Hastings Morning Talkers Club vice-president Hilton King said they wanted to make sure both clubs were of similar importance.
"I've been involved with Toastmasters for 25 years so we don't want to focus on one club because we've got two very good ones here in Port Macquarie," he said.
In almost 90 years the total number of members at Toastmasters has grown to over 313,000 people across 14,000 clubs in 126 countries worldwide.
Toastmasters clubs provide a mutually supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop public speaking, communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
It happens in a spirit of enjoyment, where members can deliver both impromptu and prepared speeches in a risk-free environment, and where everything is evaluated positively for encouragement, though always with practical suggestions for future improvement.
"It's great to see other people in the club improving. We never seek perfection, only improvement," Mr King said.
Both clubs in the Port Macquarie area have more than 30 members and Mr King said it was enjoyable to be offered the opportunity to hear stories about people's lives.
"You see people who are so shy when they first turn up, but then they become more confident," he said.
