The greens are now more forgiving, leaving 42 points as the winning score in the single event.
The ball competition went down to 35 points.
The main event was a team event with the best three scores from the four players to count. Better Homes were the sponsors of the day.
The winners with the very good score of 127 points were Brian Somers, Russell Pirie and Brad and Peter Field. Peter Field was the anchor of the side with his score counting on every hole on the back nine.
The team had 64 points out and 63 home and Peter Field contributed six three pointers and a four pointer. The team had three nine point holes and two eight point holes. They had nothing less than six points on a hole.
John Geisker, Martyn Crick, Brian Somers and Les Smith were the runners up with 123 points.
They had 61 out and 62 home and their card showed five eight point holes. They had three holes where they made five points.
Paul Moon had three birdies in his 73 off the stick to win the single event with 42 points. He was two under par for the par five holes.
The runner up in the single event was Jason Turner who made 41 points. He had three four pointers and four threes.
Turner's team had only three players and they had the best score of those teams with just three players.
They made 105 points and the other members of the team were Adam Atkins and Dale Hyde.
The nearest to the pins were won by Martyn Crick, Bruce Farthing, Paul Hanson and Dale Hubbard.
