The World War II veteran attends the pool's free aquatic physiotherapy sessions on Monday and Friday mornings and wants others to share his experience of improved well-being and camaraderie between pool users.
"I'm much stronger in the legs and back and I'm still feeling young and able to live at home alone," he said.
Mr Cruden, who moved to Port Macquarie 16 years ago, fell in love with the area while on holiday and wanted to be near his daughters.
The World War II veteran was a navigator from 1942 to 1945 and crossed the English Channel on 54 return flights.
He received the Distinguished Flying Cross Medal for his services and his Lancaster aircraft is now on display at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
The heated hydrotherapy pool is available to all members of the public and of all ages.
Pool users require a referral from their general practitioner.
Their needs are evaluated during a 30-minute land-based assessment and then a suitable hydrotherapy program is Implemented and supervised by the hospital's aquatic physiotherapist.
There is no cost for the first six classes.
