A salvage operation has now been completed at the accident site and traffic in the area is quickly returning to normal.
11.15am: Motorists are experiencing significant delays on the Pacific Highway in Clybucca following an earlier truck fire 2km north of Plummers Lane.
Alternating (stop/slow) traffic conditions remain in place.
Traffic is heavy in both directions, with southbound traffic queued 1km and northbound traffic queued 3km
MONDAY 9am: Traffic on the Pacific Highway near Clybucca is affected as authorities deal with the clean-up from a truck fire.
The truck was carrying a cargo of department store catalogues and caught fire about 2.30am Monday morning.
Fire and Rescue NSW brigades from Kempsey and local RFS units brought the fire under control.
One lane of the Pacific Highway is now open two kilometres north of Plummers Lane at Clybucca following an earlier truck fire that closed the highway.
This means with one lane open alternating traffic (stop/slow) conditions are in place on the Pacific Highway.
Emergency services are on site and a lengthy salvage process is now underway.
Motorists travelling through Clybucca are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time.
