Following a meeting with the Kendall local community on Sunday, emergency services confirmed the search would be scaled back, with the focus now on examining the many pieces of information received concerning William’s unexplained disappearance.
Investigators have renewed their appeal for anyone with information on William’s unexplained disappearance to contact them via Crime Stoppers.
Operation Commander, Superintendent Paul Fehon, paid tribute to the dedication and commitment shown by all those involved in the search, including NSW Police, SES, RFS, SLSC, volunteers as well as those individuals and businesses who provided food and support for the searchers.
A letter of thanks from William’s parents was read to those present at the community meeting.
