Counter-terrorism authorities have used for the first time extraordinary, Howard-era powers to hold in secret and without charge three suspects arrested in Thursday's terror raids.
In a statement late on Friday, Australian Federal Police revealed they had used preventative detention orders to hold the three men without charge for about 36 hours before releasing them on Friday afternoon. Full story.
Bega Cheese has inked a $100 million supply and distribution agreement with Chinese retailer Chongqing General Trading Group to supply Bega-branded long-life milk to China.
The agreement is expected to generate around $100 million worth of revenue for Bega over five years. Bega reported revenues of $1.07 billion in 2013-14. Full story.
