Now is the time to recognise your local sporting champions, and help them achieve their sporting dreams. The Hastings Sportsperson of the Year will win $1000 to help them on their way to achieving sporting greatness.
Previous champions include Ryley Batt, James Magnussen, Lauren Kitchen and Luke Travers.
The Hastings Sports Awards consists of eight independently judged categories. Each category winner receives a cash prize plus a trophy, and nominators go in the draw to win a $500 voucher from Harvey Norman.
Nominations close Friday, September 19 and can be entered online at www.sunrise-rotary.org.au. Click on the Sports Awards link or forms can be collected from Rebel Sport or email HastingsSportsAwards@gmail.com
The awards would not be possible without the support of local businesses including Stihl Shop Port Macquarie, Donovan Oates and Hanaford, St George Business Banking, Laing and Simmons Port Macquarie, Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy and Rebel Sport, as well as our media partners Port Macquarie News and NBN.
