That’s the good news from weatherzone meteorologist Guy Dixon.
“The complex low pressure system that has brought us huge rainfall remains in place but, over the next couple of days, should start moving east along the Tasman,” he said.
“Therefore we should see a general easing of the current rainy conditions.
“We will continue to see some showers along the NSW coastline but they will be generally further south of Port Macquarie, around the Forster area.
“In terms of the Hastings, we will see a few showers on Friday afternoon and evening and into Saturday but these are maxing out at around five millimetres.
“Winds will be quite strong for the remainder of Friday and up to around 25 to 35 kilometres per hour along the coast.
“Saturday will see winds still high but slightly weather than Friday. And these winds will be predominately southerly in direction.”
Mr Dixon said Sunday should see the potential for showers clearing with the sun sneaking out of the clouds.
Temperatures for Saturday will reach around 20 degrees but rising to around 22 degrees on Sunday and into Monday.
“Generally there is an improving trend across the board,” Mr Dixon said.
