The soulful snapper and Screen and Media TAFE student, has an Instagram audience topping 195,000 followers with his landscape and nature shots among the most popular of his collection of stunning images.
He has also directed his talents into producing short landscape videos shot in and around the Hastings and featuring them on his own YouTube channel.
The former Camden Haven High School student bought his first camera at 17 and soon after landed himself a job selling photography gear at Harvey Norman.
“I got to use cameras all day and decided that playing with them was more fun than selling them,” Kyle said.
He enrolled in a TAFE multi-media course and hopes to complete his diploma in video production.
His sense of the world was no doubt nurtured during his early years. Kyle was raised by his adventurous American-born parents on a yacht around the waters of Fiji, New Caledonia and New Zealand. His mother, Kate, made the decision to settle in Australia when Kyle was five to give him the best opportunity at an education.
Unsure of where his photography talent will take him, the interest in Kyle’s work is a certain indication that he has what it takes to be successful.
“It’s not about chasing money. I just think you’re better off learning what you need to learn to do what you love and it will all fall into place if you put the time and effort into it.”
